How do you put a visor on a Schutt F7?

1) Loosen the Schutt "Quick Connect Facemask Plate"

Using a philips screw driver, loosen the 2 screws on the helmet's front "Quick Connect Plate" without completely removing the screws from the helmet.

2) Remove the chin strap

Using a philips screw, remove the chin strap to allow more space for the visor installation. (Not necessary but makes the visor installation easy)

3) Insert the visor behind the facemask

Take your visor (with protective film still on) and work it up and into the helmet's face shield from the inside of the helmet.

4) Slide the visor upwards

Slide the visor up until the top of the visor overlaps with the helmet's shell.

5) Center the visor

Make sure the center part of the visor is aligned with the center of the helmet's "Quick Connect Plate".

6) Slide the center tab of the visor underneath the "Quick Connect Plate"

Push the visor up making it's center tab slide between the loosened "Quick Connect Plate" and the helmet's shell.

7) Tighten the "Quick Connect Plate"

Once the visor’s center tab is inserted between the helmet's "Quick Release Plate" and helmet shell, firmly tighten the "Quick Release Plate" back on top.

8) Align the bottom of the visor

Bring the bottom of the visor forward until it touches the Facemask grill. Depending on the facemask size, you might have to bend the visor in order to make it touch the facemask grill.

9) Place the visor clips on the facemask

Align the visor clips with their designated holes in the visor. From the top down, push the visor clips over the facemask bar that is closest to the hole in the visor.

10) SCREW THE VISOR TABS INTO THE VISOR

Pinch the visor clips and the visor together using your fingers. Once the holes are aligned, tighten the NXT screws from the outside in, thus bringing both sides of the visor clip together and squeezing the visor in place.

IMPORTANT: Stop when tight. Do not overtighten.
